Located in the suburbs of Vancouver, British Columbia, BC Hydro facility-Maple Ridge is one of 31 hydroelectric substations supporting more than 95 percent of the power for 1.9 million customers.
Engineers selected Jaga to provide a sustainable heating solution powered by condensing boilers. They installed Built-in wall units into the walls leading up to exterior-facing windows.
Bringing the feel of the outdoors into offices and meeting rooms, five of Jaga’s Knockonwood Freestanding with Dynamic Boost technology were installed alongside exterior walls. This technology maximizes the power of the convector, providing a viable alternative to expensive and less responsive in-floor heating systems.
Each space has individual temperature controls for greater building occupant comfort and is connected to a system controlled by an external signal provider.
“It’s a unique solution that matches a very unique building.”
